The FGB are contact persons in the event of gender-related crisis situations and act as a complaints office in cases of sexualized discrimination, harassment and violence. In accordance with the university guidelines, which the FGB have played a key role in promoting, they monitor and document relevant procedures at the university.
To promote the careers of female members of the university, the FGB have initiated the KSHer mentoring program, in which female students focus on their career opportunities in exchange with mentors from the field. The FGB are involved in all of the university’s careers procedures and work to promote young academics.
The FGB work on the topic of gender equality with regard to language and didactics in teaching. Together with the Family Office at KSH Munich, the FGB also ensure structural consideration and a variety of additional measures to ensure the compatibility of studies, work and family.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
