Mirembe has been in existence since January 2015 and offers 40 places for particularly vulnerable refugee women and their children (EU Reception Directive, Art. 21) who are severely traumatized or suffer from physical illnesses. In Bavaria, Mirembe is the first housing project specifically for this target group and is therefore a pilot project. The women are provided with living space with privacy and receive individual support. There are also open therapeutic and recreational educational activities.
