The Munich Jobcenter is a joint institution of the Federal Employment Agency and the City of Munich as a municipal body and is housed in the social community centers. Munich residents who are able to work and do not have enough money to cover their living costs can find help and support at the Jobcenter. They receive information and advice in their search for a suitable job or training place. The Jobcenter is responsible for the citizen’s allowance.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate.
