Portrait and offer
The women’s project of the InitiativGruppe-Interkulturelle Begegnung und Bildung e.V. offers German and literacy courses exclusively for women (with childcare if required). These integration courses comply with the guidelines of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). The courses take place at Karlstr. 48, in various parts of the city, at schools (SMA courses) and in neighborhood meeting places.
We also offer numerous discussion groups, mothers’ and self-help groups, painting and drawing courses and the Lalezar choir (Turkish). The focus is on cultural and health-promoting topics. We promote social integration and equal opportunities for women with a migration background.
Telephone consultation hours: Mondays (10 – 12:00 a.m.), Wednesdays (2 – 4:00 p.m.)
Personal consultation and registration (by appointment): Wednesdays and Thursdays
Fees are charged for the courses. Reductions and cost exemptions are possible.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
