Portrait and offer
The task of the Equal Treatment Unit at the München Klinik (MüK) is to ensure a consistent focus on equal opportunities and equal treatment at MüK. It does this by supporting the management and employees of München Klinik equally in the prevention and elimination of discrimination based on the characteristics listed in the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). The AGG Complaints Office is also located here.
In addition to the AGG, the work of the Equal Treatment Unit is based on the Munich Clinic’s shareholder agreement with the City of Munich. In addition, the work of the staff unit is based on the management’s voluntary commitment to use the European gender equality strategy Gender Mainstreaming to implement the actual equality of women and men. It is supplemented by an impact analysis in relation to the other areas of discrimination mentioned above.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
