The Social Psychiatric Service Schwabing is an outpatient facility for people who suffer from mental stress and illness and need support. It also offers advice and support for their relatives and other caregivers. The range of services is district-based and extends from orientation counseling to longer-term support as well as home and clinic visits. In addition to counseling, the service offers other components in the care of mentally ill people, such as day care or assisted individual living. If necessary, other specialist services are consulted as part of the counseling process.
