Portrait and offer
Assisted single living is a youth welfare program for girls and young women between the ages of 16 and 27 who no longer live in their own parental home but still need socio-pedagogical guidance and support on their way to an independent and self-determined life. The young women live in individual apartments rented by us and in a three-person shared flat in the Munich area. It is important that they voluntarily opt for help, get involved in the help and participate in the help process. The young women must already have a minimum level of independence and social skills.
The aims of the program are
– Development of practical life skills and abilities
– Development of a positive self-image
– Vocational orientation and transition to working life
– Social and emotional stabilization
– Building sustainable relationships and social contacts
– Examining one’s own role as a woman and one’s own biography

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
