Portrait and offer
The network aims to draw attention to the situation of women and girls with disabilities in Bavaria and to support the emancipation and self-determined lives of women and girls with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
Women and girls with disabilities or chronic illnesses organize themselves in the network in order to better defend and protect themselves against disadvantages and discrimination. This is also to be achieved through intensive contact within the network in Bavaria. Committee work also plays an important role here.
Exchange of experience and information (open meeting) as well as mutual support should contribute to improving the situation of women and girls with disabilities/chronic illnesses in all areas of life.
A specialist in violence prevention is available as a first point of contact for women with disabilities who are affected by violence and are seeking advice.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
