Melodiva is a musical, revue and show – with a humorous look at everyday lesbian life. We love and sing all musical genres, from pop and pop hits to rock and musicals to classical music and Bavarian dances. Every two to three years we put on a new program with a story we have developed ourselves, our own lyrics and arrangements, suitable choreography and changing stage sets, costumes and make-up. Since the company was founded in 1995, ten musical theaters – in addition to many short performances – have already been on the program. We perform several times a year in Munich and other cities, at our own concerts, choir festivals and women’s or LGBTIQ* events. With 30 female singers and a pianist under the professional choir direction of Marja Giesen, we present polyphonic music and the best entertainment for queer and straight!
