We want more than just a career – we are committed to better journalism for women and men in a democratic public sphere.
We are committed to gender-equitable language and launched the Genderleicht.de project in 2019.
We monitor whether and how the media report on women in politics and society. We draw public attention to grievances.
We are internationally networked and maintain contact with female colleagues abroad.
We promote young female journalists, have a jb mentoring program, a jb scholarship and award three journalism prizes every year

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
