Portrait and offer
“Meaningful psychologically, socially and economically enriching activities in non-working time, an improvement in living conditions through self-employment, productive instead of consumptive use of free time” – these were the goals of the non-profit research organization anstiftung, with which it justified its commitment to the HEi. It was based on the assumption that people have a need for self-determined work, but that they often lack the corresponding infrastructure, the means of production and now also the knowledge, especially in cities. For over 35 years, HEi has been offering a suitable range of services for all of this in its workshops and event rooms. The wide range of offers is unique, firstly the variety of professionally equipped and supervised workshops, then the openness for different forms of use and cultural offers.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
