Portrait and offer
Short-term individual care for acutely ill children in their parents’ home by volunteers “Gute Feen” in Munich and the Munich district.
Since 1989, we have been supporting mothers and fathers who are working or in training – especially single parents – with the challenge of reconciling family care and employment. If parents are unable to stay at home to care for their acutely ill child themselves due to work demands, we can arrange for one of our trained, empathetic and absolutely responsible volunteers to take over temporary care at short notice – from one day to the next – and at a flexible time. In return for a small expense allowance, she will voluntarily care for the sick child in the familiar parental home so that he or she can make a full recovery in peace. If necessary, we can provide unbureaucratic financial support from donations.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
