Portrait and offer
THEAmobil is mobile occupational therapy for older women who are restricted in their everyday lives due to an age-related or mental illness and want to live as independently as possible (again). Together with our occupational therapists, who have many years of experience, the women train the activities of daily living and their mobility in their own homes. Together with us, the women develop strategies for coping with stress in everyday life and a good daily structure and build up their own support network. THEAmobil also offers advice for relatives. Occupational therapy is prescribed by a doctor.
We work in a trauma and culturally sensitive manner and respect women in their identity – regardless of their lifestyle, sexual and religious orientation. We look at the individual history and current situation as well as the fundamental living conditions of women in our society.
We stand up for equal rights, freedom from violence and human rights.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
