Portrait and offer
We help women with mental illness to live independently (again) – individually, diversely and professionally. Our teams have many years of experience. We employ social education workers, psychologists, educational and psychiatric specialists. For women of legal age, we have therapeutic shared flats throughout Munich. If you live in Munich, we offer assisted single living for women under and over 60 (including those with addictions) and intensive assisted single living for mothers. We cannot accept women who take illegal drugs.
We work in a trauma and culturally sensitive manner and respect women in their identity – regardless of their lifestyle, sexual and religious orientation. We consider the individual history and current situation as well as the fundamental living conditions of women in our society.
We stand up for equal rights, freedom from violence and human rights.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
