Portrait and offer
FIT-FinanzTraining is an institution of the Verein für Fraueninteressen e.V. (Association for Women’s Interests). Since 2005, the advice center has been offering household budget advice on behalf of the Social Department of the City of Munich. In a short-term consultation (one to five appointments), those seeking advice are enabled to clarify and stabilize their financial situation. For example, the advisors provide support in communicating with authorities and creditors. The aim is to strengthen everyday competence in financial matters according to the motto “Finances under control”. If necessary, preparation and registration for debtor and insolvency counseling is provided. The service is individual, confidential and free of charge.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
