In the association brustkrebs-muenchen e.V., those affected, those not affected, doctors and nursing staff are committed to raising awareness of the topic of breast cancer and to scientific research into it. The association was founded in 2001 due to the increasing incidence of breast cancer and it informs, advises, accompanies and supports those affected and their relatives. It also helps those affected in the medical and psychosocial areas and offers support in dealing with the disease.
Together with its partner association Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V., the association offers online courses such as yoga or Pilates, social legal support, a choir and regular meetings.
There is a breast cancer hotline on the free number 0800 0 117 112 and the partner association Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. also offers a free medical telephone consultation on Mondays from 17.30–19.00 (except public holidays) on 0800 0 117 112.
