Portrait and offer
ApK München e.V. is an independent self-help organization – by relatives of mentally ill people for relatives – with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
In our self-help groups, adult relatives find mutual support and orientation. From the perspective of parents, siblings, partners, adult children and friends, we know the challenges, fears and worries that mental illness brings to the family.
We represent our interests in health and socio-political committees and cooperate with clinics and facilities in Munich and the district.
Together we are strong! That is why we are in regular contact with other associations, organizations and initiatives in our network. In this way, we also set an example against stigma!
Our board and our committed members work on a voluntary basis. They are supported by our full-time employees.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
