LesbianSalon – Sappho goes 60 – Lesbian Pride Visible
The LesbianSalon was founded in 2011 by a group of older lesbian feminists to stay in touch, be visible and continue to be politically active. To exchange ideas on topics from politics, culture, leisure, to discuss and have fun.
Lesbians find support in the LesbianSalon in their fight to make lesbians aware of, demand and live lesbian lifestyles as equal in society. They demand social participation, a good life and aging with dignity.
The LesbianSalon offers women a space to inspire and strengthen each other, to support each other and to enjoy the diversity and richness of lesbian life.
The women of the LesbianSalon are a political voice in the community and society. The group of older lesbians meets every fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at rosa Alter in Lindwurmstraße 71. We look forward to welcoming interested women.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
