Portrait and offer
As a specialist institution for child and youth welfare, Haus der Familie supports parents and other guardians with a wide range of programs. In our groups and courses, we accompany families through different phases of life and through the transitions of child development. In doing so, we focus on their needs, draw on existing resources and strengthen their skills. Our courses are supervised by both educational and medical specialists.
Our courses cover the following areas: pregnancy, around birth, after birth, courses with babies and toddlers, creativity-promoting and movement-oriented courses for children, courses for adults and open offers. Consultations and parents’ evenings complete our profile.
The play and support program ed:u (formerly Opstapje) is a low-threshold early intervention program. The WELLCOME project provides families with practical help after the birth.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
