Portrait and offer
The Technical University of Munich (TUM) inspires, promotes and develops talents in all their diversity to become responsible, open-minded personalities and enables them to shape the progress of innovation for people, nature and society with the highest level of scientific and technical expertise, with entrepreneurial courage and socio-political sensitivity, and with a lifelong educational openness. It therefore creates working and study conditions in which everyone can develop their individual abilities to the best of their ability. With the Executive Vice President for Talent Management & Diversity Prof. Peus as well as the Diversity & Equal Opportunities staff unit and the Gender Equality Office, these values are centrally anchored in university operations: through a strong network, personal advice, a wide range of events, the family compatibility service and much more.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
