Portrait and offer
Offer:
The Kolping Society offers a wide range of events, training courses and camps for women, mothers and their daughters and families. The Women’s Commission of the Kolping Society offers “Moments for You”, short reflections to pause for thought in everyday life via email.
The Kolping Society Diocesan Association of Munich and Freising is a Catholic social organization and is part of the Kolping Society of Germany.
The founder, Adolph Kolping, would perhaps be called a “street worker” today, because he was someone whose work literally began on the street. He wanted to show young people that life means more than working during the day and going on pub crawls in the evening, that dependence is linked to ignorance, that community needs a spiritual home, that faith in God shows: that life is more than the measurable, visible and calculable.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
