Portrait and offer
We establish housing groups of eight older women each with little pension. We get the social housing from GEWOFAG, with whom we have a cooperation agreement. All projects are located in the center and have their own common rooms, which we set up as an association.
Our model radiates into the house community, also because we organize get-to-know meetings for the entire housing block. All the housewives who live in the Caring House Community are willing to stand by their neighbor and help her when needed. It is a reciprocal neighborhood and not a one-sided assisted living community.
There are monthly meetings and lectures with interesting topics. Together we visit art exhibitions with guided tours or go to a concert.

The city of Munich stands for an urban society without discrimination with equal opportunities for all. Equal rights are a constitutional principle, but the real implementation of this norm requires cooperation with civil society in addition to a state mandate. In Munich, there are a large number of organizations, institutions and projects that are involved in the task of implementing equal rights for women, men and people of other genders.
With this “Women’s Handbook Munich”, the Equal Opportunities Office for Women of the City of Munich offers an overview and information on where to turn with a specific concern. More information about the Equal Opportunities Office for Women can be found on our homepage.
